I believe all pieces are now in hand. Ive read elsewhere that the MFG used plastic exhaust tips as the transom is not flat back there. I believe that is the correct after inspecting. I am going to make a template of my new 4” tip and remove the gelcoat and make a flat bedding For the SS tip.

New tip is installed. I opened the hole up to 4”. It was apparent that the hole was not flat. Used a tube of west 610 and bedded a new pad for the tip. Then pulled it back apart and hit some sealant in between. Sea trials later today!

Looks good! The curved transom is a beautiful look but does create some challenges.

Bronze thru hulls come in angles. Stainless ones do too but are harder to find. I have Rex with flappers and they have held up nicely.

Got it all together, took a pic of the new exhaust. Worked well.

Ran it about 2 hours and pulled up a few groupers close in, no keepers. Oh well. I swear its quieter now. I don’t know if its the silicon or extra water.

I bought it from eBay. It was built by CMI. This was a new old stock.
