how to pull transmission and bellhousing on a 1985 302

    I need to pull the transmission and remove bell housing to replace ring gear and new damper plate.
    the rear mounts will be replaced here not a problem what has to be done to front mounts??

    I use a heavy sawhorse spanning the compartment with a stout ratchet strap under the crooks of the risers. I then put a small block of wood under the oil pan, just in case. Piece of cake.

    Aren't the front mounts a pinch bolt or a "smile" bolt on a trunnion? Need to pivot on the trunnion.
