Having a major problem with holding tank odor tried deodorizing chemicals No help. Someone suggested that the mack may have an air filter That i cant find. I have an electric head that i seem to remember had a door in the bottom of the bowl that was closed until you flushed That I don’t see now and i think that’s how the fumes are coming out any advice would be greatly appreciated especially by my wife.

Salt water and tank deodorants don't mix. They stink terrible. Flush with baking soda a couple times.

You may have hit the answer with the missing flap in the bottom of the bowl. May act like j or s traps in sinks and toilets at home. They hold water in the traps between uses to prevent sewer gases from escaping the sewer lines.

Start by being sure the holding tank is pumped out, then Add the odor control chemical into the bowl and flush with fresh water into the holding tank, that should be the end of it.
