Fished Sat and Sunday.

Saturday: Put in near the tip of Soquel Hole. Fish on within a couple minutes. Landed 8 lb'er. Looked like it was gonna be a good day. Back and forth through the area a few times for nothing. Heard some reports from Soldiers, so picked up lines and ran down. Saw a few nets fly, but no takers for us. Worked back up through Mulligans, Pajaro, etc. Zip. Great weather. Finally pulled lines a bit before 5 p.m. Long day.

Sunday: Bit of a late start so we went straight to where we saw the most action on Saturday. East edge of the canyon. in 15 minutes I was on. Landed another 8 lb'er. Worked that area hard and the bite picked up till we had 3 in the box, then scratched up 2 more over time. Whole figure 8 pattern was only 1/2 mile long. A couple LDR's a couple short strikes and lost one at the boat. Too long leader, too short rod and too light line. Not being able to mange the fish at the boat, it touched the downrigger line and say bye bye to fish and hardware.

Last fish was on the last tack as wind was to be coming up. Nice 20 lb'er. Sporty ride home. Prolly shoulda left 1/2 hour earlier, but then we woulda missed the last fish.

Took effort, but we found some nice Easter eggs.

Hopefully some pics to follow.

A fish story unless those pictures show up :D
Seriously jealous. Our first salmon runs are a month away and I just blew out 4 feet of soft snow berm around my son's boat yesterday so we can get it out soon. Spring can't come soon enough!
