246 Open Ulterra Trolling Motor Install

Do you have a support for the head? Seems like it would bounce pretty good in snotty conditions.

 

Ive considered it but as of now I do not feel its required. That shaft is actually pretty stout.

 

Last update, many fishing trips in the motor has been working great. The weak point has turned out to be current. Max trolling speed seems to be 1.6-2mph. It does fine in wind but will not hold in current in the range of those numbers.
