Thanks guys. Starter is spinning now so need to replace that .. My mechanic friend suggested coil because of the 20 min. wait also and I found a kink in the fuel line from pump to carb. Think I'm just going to replace the fuel pump anyway since it's probably original. I'll keep you posted.

Yes , I thought as much , thanks for confirming that part. It ran great for 25 min off trailer , out of harbor. Put throttle down and gradually 20 20 seconds started blowing white smoke and coughingsputterinng then died . Would start at idle then die. Fuel dellivery problem ?

My filter is at the very bottom middle of the port side with no access from either end . The manifolds and sides of bilge block direct access and the only way I can see is remove the alternator and hope I can stretch my arm long enough to reach under the mani . I'll post pictures later but...
